Mary has been a member of SACOS since 2010 with her first show Annie Get Your Gun. Within the SACOS Committee Mary is the Vice Chairman and has held this title for 2 years now. Mary is also responsible for our internal newsletter, where our members can find all the details and reminders about show dates to what colour tights you need to wear! Mary is also apart of other theatre societies within Selsey as she has loved musical theatre from a young age as well as performing on stage with the rest of her family.
Hello I’m Peter and I have recently joined the Committee. At the AGM in 2017 I was elected Secretary, I also assist with our sponsorship scheme and I am on hand to help out where needed. I have been with the Society for 5 years and apart from one year with Chichester my only experience of musical theatre has been in Gilbert and Sullivan at school. I enjoy singing and hamming it up on stage, and I am affectionately known as one of the ‘tenor ladies’. As such I feel I am a suitably qualified and I enjoy all the fun and excitement that membership of SACOS brings.
Kathy has been a member of SACOS since 2007 and has held various positions on the committee including Vice-Chair & Secretary & has also in the past been our Stage Manager. Kathy was elected Treasurer for SACOS at the AGM in 2017. Kathy also looks after our Patrons. You will never (well hopefully never!) see Kathy on stage as she is one of our non-acting members and more often than not will be found behind the scenes – though does make an occasional appearance front of house! Kathy got a taste for theatre after moving to Selsey in 1999 and has been involved in a number of local groups. She tried acting once and had a small role in a play and was heard to say “Well did that, can do it, but never again thank you….”

Lisa moved to Selsey in 2014 to be near the sea. Not knowing anyone, she wanted to join a local group and get involved in “Selsey Life” and make friends. In SACOS she is affectionately know as “Mrs Overall” as she comes to rehearsals and serves the tea & biscuits in the break. After becoming involved in the production of Hello Dolly – organising the costumes and assisting back stage – Lisa then went on to join the crew of the End of the Pier Show and Fame shows. Having never been involved in musical theatre before, she thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, and appreciated the amount of work that goes into every performance. The result of all this “fun” was to join the SACOS committee and help where required.
Lisa has been an active member of SACOS since 2011, she joined because all 3 of her daughters where already members and as s family have always loved acting & singing. Lisa loves being part of the SACOS family and has made many great friends. Lisa moved to Selsey in 2003. Lisa is now our Membership Secretary and Librarian, she keeps track of all our books coming in and out during shows. She is also the first face you will see when coming to rehearsals as she is the one who takes your money!!
